Complementary Contradictions
Opposites are often only two points plotted on the same line, enriching our lives with variation and asymmetry. A little bit of sweet with the savory, a touch of chaos mixed into our orderly lives serves to keep us engaged and attentive. How often do we spend our lives running from the spice of variety because we are comfortably complacent. Our lives are so built around comfort we often miss out on the charming blessings that come with adventure.
The warm oranges and reds of the calm blue sky or the cool side of the pillow in a warm summer's evening. The noisy laughter of a loved one to break the silence of dusk or the the drop of cloying syrup on a salty strip of bacon, the soulful and sedated rest after a long and arduous day's work. Life is so full of variance and variety that we often take it for granted, the complementary sides of the same coin are often what gives it character. Life is so complex that the simplicity of things are hard to grasp.
